A state board voted Friday to order recall elections against Gov. Scott Walker, Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch and four Republican senators, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.
The primary will be held May 8 before the general election on June 5.
The Government Accountability Board found more than 900,000 valid signatures on the recall petition for Walker and more than 808,000 signatures for Kleefisch. A little more than 540,200 valid signatures were needed to prompt a recall election.
About 30,000 signatures collected on the Walker petition were not counted because they were duplicate, illegible or incomplete. Out of the total 921,053 signatures collected, only four were fake names: Adolf Hitler, Mick E. Mous, Donald L. Duck and I Love Scott Walker Thanks.
The GAB also decided Friday to create a searchable online database of the signatures.
Enough valid signatures were already collected against Sens. Scott Fitzgerald, Van Wanggaard, Terry Moulton and Pam Galloway.
