Welcome to the University of Minnesota! We are the Minnesota Daily, the University’s independent student newspaper. As one of the largest in the country, the school’s campus can feel intimidating to newcomers. We hope to help you keep up with the fast pace of your new home by bringing you only the best and most need-to-know content. 

We cover a wide range of subjects important to campus and its surrounding areas, from Gophers sports to city politics. We come out with a new print issue on Mondays and Thursdays every week, and publish new digital content daily. We also have two podcasts — the news-heavy “In The Know” and the sports-focused “The Weekly Rundown” — which are churned out weekly.

In this issue, you will find everything that you need to know to get started as a savvy member of the University community. Some of the Daily’s editors have compiled information on topics such as the best study spots on campus, the people who represent you within the University and more.
