The Aurora Center opened a location on the University of Minnesota’s St. Paul campus in partnership with Boynton Health Service on Tuesday.
For the first time, the Aurora Center can provide direct, free and confidential counseling and resources to students, faculty and staff in St. Paul who are victims of sexual assault, relationship violence and stalking. The center will be open until at least the end of spring semester as part of a pilot program.
“This is a huge collaboration and gift from Boynton Health Service,” center director Katie Eichele said. “And we’re very thankful for it.”
The new location is in room 109 of Coffey Hall at Boynton’s St. Paul Clinic.
“When it comes to services such as ours, it’s all about access, availability and proximity,” Eichele said.
