Campus police are looking for a suspect who allegedly groped three people in separate instances near campus on Monday afternoon, according to a crime alert from University of Minnesota Police Chief Greg Hestness.
The alert said the first incident occurred at about 12:50 p.m. at the intersection of Fulton Street Southeast and Huron Boulevard Southeast, and another occurred two blocks away at the corner of Fulton Street Southeast and Ontario Street Southeast at about 2:30.
UMPD searched the area but couldn’t locate the suspect, the alert said.
Another victim was allegedly groped at about 1:45 p.m. at the corner of Oak Street Southeast and Washington Avenue Southeast, the alert said.
The crime alert, which was emailed to University faculty, staff and students on Monday evening, includes a description for one suspect.
Also on Monday, Vice President for University Services Pamela Wheelock sent a public safety update that asks students to avoid pretending to jump or push friends in front of the Green Line light rail.
