“Great Caesar’s ghost,” yelled Elmo as he realized that he’d put off doing his taxes for the 15th year in a row. He shuffled through his stack of W-2s, found his 1040EZ book and took a deep breath before beginning the calculations. “Being a professional college weather imp sure doesn’t pay what it used to,” said Elmo as he found that his total income for 1996 was less than $47. “I sure wish I would’ve gotten that union gig my dad set me up with,” Elmo sighed. “Damn urine test,” he shouted as he banged his head on the kitchen table. Elmo knew that it would be mostly cloudy today with a high in the 40s, and clear skies tomorrow because that is what he was paid the little bucks to know.
