A Campus Shuttle hit a construction worker Tuesday afternoon as the worker crossed Sixth Street behind TCF Bank Stadium. A Station 19 firefighter who responded to the incident said as far as he knew, the man was getting lunch. He checked to make sure he could safely cross the street âÄî âÄúHe turned around, looked one way, looked the other way, and when he turned around again, the bus was in his face,âÄù the firefighter said. University police Deputy Chief Chuck Miner called the accident âÄúfairly minor,âÄù and said the worker walked into the side of the slow-moving bus. An ambulance arrived at the scene, but the worker apparently suffered only a bloody, possibly broken, nose. He was taken to an area hospital.
