Ryan Stoa scored his first points in nearly a year, scoring a shorthanded goal just over 14 minutes into the second period with a top shelf glove-side shot from the top of the slot. Jordan Schroeder recorded his first points as a Gopher with the loan assist. Much like the first, the Huskies nearly answered right back when they blasted a powerplay shot off the cross bar. The play was intitially waved off, reviewed later, and upheld. These reviews sure are taking a long time, don’t know why. The shot clearly wasn’t in. Minnesota still leads in shots 25-12, the Huskies only had three shots on goal with under five minutes left and were helped big time by a lot of late Minnesota penalties.
