Just a day after entering the transfer portal, Gophers’ starting right guard Curtis Dunlap Jr. will return to the team for the 2020 season. Though that start date is still up in the air, the Gophers and Tanner Morgan will be relieved to have their full offensive line return.
It is still unclear as to why Dunlap Jr. withdrew from the portal, as he stated earlier he wanted to play closer to home. Whether it was the work of the coaching staff or the players around him, Dunlap Jr. decided to change his decision and continue to ‘Row the Boat.’
The Gophers are coming off an impressive 11-2 season with a win in the Outback Bowl over Auburn. The team hopes to continue its success under head coach P.J. Fleck in the upcoming season.
