Alanna Micheaux, a power forward from Wayne Memorial High School in Michigan, announced her commitment to the Gophers via Twitter on Sept. 21.

Micheaux received several scholarship offers. Notable schools that offered to Micheaux include Purdue, Colorado, St. Johns and Georgia Tech.

Micheaux will join the Gophers in the fall of 2021 after finishing her senior season in high school. The 6’2” forward averaged 26 points and 14 rebounds per game as a junior.

Forward has been a position head coach Lindsay Whalen addressed recently in the recruiting cycle. In the offseason, the Gophers added transfers Laura Bagwell-Katalinich, Kayla Mershon and Daja Woodard after signing freshman Erin Hedman last fall.
