In his sophomore year, Williams averaged 5.8 points per game, but took on a bigger role toward the end of the season. Williams played in 27 games this season and started 13 of them.
After changes in the starting lineup, Williams saw his playing time increase, and with it, his scoring. Over his final nine games, he reached double figures in seven of them.
Williams is the fourth Gopher, and third starter, to depart the team this offseason.
It’s clear the team that takes the court next season will look a lot different for head coach Ben Johnson than this past year.
