To the University of Minnesota community,
I am announcing that Niamh Coomey is resigning from her role as editor-in-chief of the Minnesota Daily due to personal reasons. As editor-in-chief, Niamh created an investigations desk and increased flexibility for interns by allowing them to adjust their quotas based on comfort level – all while working during a pandemic.
I will be assuming the role of editor-in-chief through spring semester, after serving as managing editor since the beginning of the summer. Lydia Morrell, the former city desk editor, will be managing editor alongside me.
I look forward to working with our staff to continue to produce timely and important news for our readers and building off of the work that Niamh has started. Questions or concerns can be directed to [email protected].
Respectfully yours,
Hana Ikramuddin
