Incumbent Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar is projected to win her seat against former NBA player and Republican challenger Royce White, according to The Associated Press (AP).
As of 10:45 p.m., Klobuchar has 58.5% of the votes while White is sitting at 38.4% with 51% of the votes being reported so far, according to AP.
Although the race was not expected to be close, FiveThirtyEight polls suggested Klobuchar would win by 55% in the popular vote as opposed to White’s 40%. Her win probability was 98%.
This will be her fourth term following Tuesday’s win.
The last time Klobuchar ran for Senate in 2018 she garnered 60% of the vote, according to the Associated Press.
Klobuchar ran with little challenge in her primary election, racking up 94% of the vote, according to Ballotpedia, whereas White won his primary with 38.5% of the votes.

We are very fortunate to have 2 Senators of sound mind and integrity in Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith. We also lost a good Senator in Al Franken due to a crusanding NY Senator .
