Stupor Bowl Minneapolis is an annual race that takes place the day before the Super Bowl. The Stupor Bowl is unique in that it has no set route but instead racers must get their manifests stamped at various checkpoints that vary from bike shops to bars located throughout the city. This year approximately 350 cyclists participated in two different categories: the speed race in which time is essential or the stupor race in which racers must drink at various bars throughout the duration of the race. This year the race started on the east bank of the Mississippi River underneath the 35W bridge with a mass start in which cyclists must first run to mount their bikes before heading out to the checkpoints.
