Junior Zachary Swenson, a BFA student, builds sand molds on Monday night for the 47th annual Iron Pour at the Foundry, located in the Regis Center for Art. At the event, molten iron will be poured into these molds to created cast iron sculptures.

Northrop hosts World Art Day on Friday, celebrating student art with a variety of events.
Pieces of art by Charles Nestor sit awaiting set up in the Larson Art Gallery in the St. Paul Student Center on Tuesday. Nestor, along with fellow artist Cassandra Buck, use found objects to create new pieces of art. Their exhibit, "Lost & Found", will be on display beginning March 25.

University art professor Jenny Schmid curated “Free Radicals,” a new historical print exhibit at the Regis Center for Art.
A piece by Vanessa German advocating for protecting children endangered by their circumstances sits at the "State of the Art: Discovering American Art Now" exhibit in the Minneapolis Institute of Art Wednesday. The exhibit, which is described a snapshot of contemporary America, opens Thursday Feb 18 and will feature live artist activations and live music.
