University of Minnesota President Joan Gabel has resigned from the Securian Financial Board of Directors after facing public backlash over concerns of conflicts of interests.
During the board’s December meeting, regents examined the University’s purchase of Gray’s, voted on President Joan Gabel’s service on a private board of directors and faced an interruption from Students for a Democratic Society.
Through various organizations and research opportunities, some students are advocating for sustainable chemistry practices that are non-toxic and produce less waste.
