The University of Minnesota Disability Resource Center decided in May to lay off its seven captionists and contract with an outside vendor full time starting Aug. 15 to generate “significant” cost savings.

Investigators renew search for missing UMN student after 53 years

Bill Underhill walked out of a Dinkytown party in 1969 and hasn’t been seen since. New investigators are hoping to change that.
The University of Minnesota Climate Observatory located on the UMN St. Paul Campus, captured on Monday, July 25. This facility is a cooperative climate observatory designed to accurately measure long-term changes in temperature and climate conditions.

UMN faculty members work to inform about climate patterns

Using information from an on-campus weather station and events across the world, faculty members want to educate people on the consequences of changing climate patterns to be better prepared for future events.
