Funded by the National Science Foundation, the University of Minnesota is collaborating with four other universities to improve climate change projections.
Through the counting of Weddell seal populations in Antarctica, researchers are getting a clearer picture of the impacts of climate change and commercial fishing on Antarctic ecosystems.
Previously known as the Race, Indigeneity, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Initiative (RIGS), recent changes include disability in the new title and transition into a University center.
As outlined in the University’s faculty tenure code, a five-person panel will recommend consequences for faculty who fail to attest their COVID-19 vaccine status with the University.
Led by the University of Minnesota’s College of Food and Agriculture, the new center will collaborate with several universities, The Nature Conservancy and the Great Lakes Indian Fish and Wildlife Commission.
