University of Minnesota staff found a deceased person in a room of the building on the University's East Bank campus Tuesday morning.
Aswar Rahman founded the nonprofit and  purchased a house in Dinkytown to house some of the refugees who came to Minnesota.

UMN Board of Regents chair resigns leadership position

Ken Powell, who has been on the board since 2017, will finish his term as a regent. The board has called a special meeting on Thursday to figure out next steps in the future of University leadership.
The Identity Dinkytown apartment will be located at the corner of 15th Avenue and Fourth Street and plans to start renting in fall 2023. The iconic McDonald's that used to be located at this corner will become part of the new building.
