Asian American resource center opens on UMN campus

The blasts followed hours of police standoff on the University's East Bank.
A man pokes his head out the sixth floor window at 11:40 a.m. after police fired gas into a sixth floor room at the Graduate Hotel. Police say the suspect is in the room and believe he is the only person in the room.

The standoff at the Graduate Hotel has been going on for over 36 hours.
Police are negotiating with at least one individual inside the Graduate Hotel as of Monday evening. “We’ve been talking to that individual and asking them to come out for some time now,” UMPD Police Chief Matt Clark said Monday morning.
