Alex Karwowski ventured north from his hometown of South Elgin, Illinois to the University of Minnesota where he studies journalism with minors in political science and leadership. He spent the last two years as a sports reporter for the Daily where he was the lead beat writer for Gophers volleyball and basketball. When Alex is not on deadline, he enjoys playing Tuba in the Minnesota Marching Band, watching Chicago sports and ice-cold lemonade.
