The Minnesota Daily is financially independent from the University of Minnesota, and we must generate revenue to cover all of our expenses in order to give you the news and information you need. Like many media organizations, we turn to advertisements and sponsored content to do so.

Sponsored content, paid for by businesses and organizations, may promote products, services or events. Unlike editorial content, these articles are not written by the Minnesota Daily’s student staff.

We’re committed to maintaining our editorial credibility and making sure it is easy for our readers to distinguish ads and sponsored content from editorial content. To that end, sponsored content is organized in a separate section of our website, with a different design, and clearly labeled as sponsored.
