21-year-olds will be able to sell, grow and consume cannabis once the legislation is signed by Gov. Tim Walz.

Several bills have been signed into law in the first seven weeks of the legislative session.

A bill to replace Columbus Day as Indigenous Peoples’ Day at the state level passed out of the State Government Committee and will be voted on by the full House in the future.

The bill would add a faculty member and employee organization to the Board of Regents, as well as reform the Council that recommends Regents to the full legislature.

University officials presented their supplemental budget request to the House and Senate Higher Education committees, leaving some GOP members unsure on the size of the request.
