It’s Election Day and the Minnesota Daily has compiled everything students need to vote today.
Secretary of State Mark Ritchie estimates that nearly 3 million Minnesotans will vote Tuesday, a number similar to 2008 when about 2.9 million — or 78 percent of eligible voters — cast ballots in the state.
As of Monday morning, the secretary of state’s office had received about 235,000 absentee votes and an additional 270,000 had been requested. Not all requested ballots will necessarily be returned.
Polls in Minnesota are open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. If you are in line to vote before polls close, under state law you can still vote.
