I know you, reader. If you chose to read one of my blog posts you’re either highly interested in fashion or folk/indie-pop music and want to know where to have a taste each of those in the Twin Cities. Fear not, I’ve got you covered, and I must say, Saturday evening is a must-attend for the fashion fanatic.
What: Envision: Artopia Spring 2013
When: Saturday, 9 p.m. – 12 a.m. (8 p.m. VIP)
Where: Graves 601 Hotel, 5th Floor Ballroom
Cost: $25 GA, $50 VIP Admission, $75 VIP+ Admission
Envision: Artopia Spring 2013 is the Twin Cities’ largest fashion event, allowing guests the opportunity to have a sneak preview of Spring’s finest trends. It’s fitting that for the twelfth season of Envision, the event will feature the Spring and Summer collections from 12 different local designers and boutiques. A few of my favorites among those 12 are Kjurek, MartinPatrick3 and Cliché – wonderful clothing.
The runway show will take place in two parts – the first at 10 p.m. and the second at 11 p.m. Models from Ignite will march down the runway to the beats by DJ Bryan Gerrard who will serve a tropical mix to perpetuate the warm weather theme of the evening. And aside from soaking up fashion, guests can peruse artwork from local artists in the RAW Visual Artist Gallery.
Visit the website here for a better peak into what’s in store for attendees. Put on your highest heels and most tailored trousers and enjoy an evening with Minneapolis’ fashion elitists.
