Since the start of the public emergency in Minneapolis on March 16, consideration of land use applications have been suspended for 60 days.

The vacant church at 1035 14th Ave. SE in Como was designated as a "historic resource" on March 13.
The Witch's Hat Tower sits in Prospect Park on Monday evening. On May 23, the Prospect Park Association voted on bylaw amendments that would have reserved a spot on their Board for student residents. The bylaw amendments did not pass, but will be revisited in later in June.

As meetings move online and developments are slowed, the University-area neighborhoods are taking different approaches to serve their community during COVID-19.
The Red Sea, seen on Monday, March 23, closed its dining, venue and bar due to a city mandate to reduce social contact. According to owner Russom Solomon, the restaurant is only doing about 10 percent of its usual business due to the restrictions.
