A building owned by Integer, a medical device outsource manufacturer, stands in Southeast Como on Friday, Feb. 7.  The site has recently been identified as producing higher than acceptable levels of trichloroethylene (TCE), an industrial solvent and carcinogen.

The bill, requiring automated sprinklers in high-rises statewide, comes after a fire killed five Cedar-Riverside residents in November.
