The Minneapolis police department is considering using 20 cameras installed downtown by Verizon for the Super Bowl last year. MPD already uses cameras for public safety to help with incidents like vehicle accidents and pursuits, shootings and suicide attempts according to a presentation from the Public Safety Committee.
