As the frigid Minnesota winter creeps in and the holiday season comes knocking, many are ready to get cozy in their family homes. While the cold weather tempts people to stay in, the Twin Cities holiday market scene is just beginning to heat up.

From family-friendly visits with Santa and romantic rooftop getaways to unique finds on center stage, the Twin Cities is ready to deliver a market experience for everyone.

Midtown Global Market

The Midtown Global Market welcomes the No Coast Craft-O-Rama for its final event, highlighting 20 years of modern, urban and indie-style arts and crafts. On Saturday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 7, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., this free holiday market will offer a wide array of goods, including clothing, home decor, ceramics, glassware, kids’ toys and more.

This international public marketplace ensures it’s an event for the whole family, offering a chance to meet Santa Reggie from noon to 3 p.m. on Dec. 6. 

Beyond the holiday market, Midtown Global Market continues to highlight more than a dozen international restaurants such as Momo Dosa, Manny’s Tortas and Oasis Market and Deli. 

Four Seasons Winter Market

For those seeking a luxurious escape within the Twin Cities, the Four Seasons Hotel is hosting its fourth annual Nordic Village and Winter Market — a perfect rooftop getaway. 

The highlight is a private Nordic dining experience, featuring a four-course meal served inside warmly lit, heated cabins perched on the rooftops of downtown Minneapolis.

Florian Riedel, Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis general manager, shared in an article with the Four Seasons Press Room that the market will offer a new experience for hotel guests and the public to enjoy. 

“This year, we are reimagining The Lodge as a welcoming cabin-style bar with hearty food and drink,” Riedel said. “It is the perfect place to connect, celebrate and create memories all season long, whether you are staying with us or just coming in for a drink.”

For select weekends from Nov. 1 to Dec. 21, the Four Seasons will host a European winter market for hotel guests and the public, offering goods from various local artists and makers.

For booking the Nordic Village cabin experience, guests may reserve a spot by calling the Four Seasons Hotel. 

Palace Theatre Holiday Market

Known for concerts with featured artists such as Sombr, Royel Otis and Japanese Breakfast, the Palace Theatre in St. Paul will step away from the music scene to host a weekend-long holiday event.

The theatre will host its third annual holiday market Friday, Nov. 28, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 29, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The free event features 50 local artists and vendors, giving guests the unique opportunity to take to the stage and support locals.

Drinks and sweet treats will be sold by the Palace Theatre indoor bar, and outdoor service is provided by Mami’s Churros, serving warm churros and their Mami’s Cozy Morchata, a special holiday drink.
