The Gibbs Museum of Pioneer and Dakotah Life’s annual Pioneer Christmas was canceled due to extreme weather.
The founding band members of Steep Canyon Rangers were friends during their college days before starting a band. Nicky Sanders (second from right) joined the band with his fiddle in 2004 and they recently brought on a longtime friend, Michael Ashworth (not pictured), as a permanent member to play percussion.

Naked Stages 2013 helps young artists shape worlds on stage.
A new exhibit at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts features the restoration of a triptych by Max Beckmann, titled "Blind Man's Buff". This is the third restoration done on paintings at the MIA and will be conducted over four months by the Midwest Art Conservation Center.
